树荫下的中国

大家好，我是来自八年级九班的邱钰森。
Today the topic of our speech is "from arbor day to beautiful China".
今天我们演讲的主题是“植树节谈美丽中国”。
The winter snow has melted, and spring has come. Spring is delightful; The sky clears up, and the trees welcome new growth. Accompanied by the spring breeze, we welcome this year's Arbor Day. Chinese people had a good habit of tree planting since ancient times. China's Arbor Day was born in 1915, scheduled for the Qingming Festival. In 1928, Arbor Day was changed to March 12th to memorize the third anniversary of Sun Zhong Shan's death. In 1979, the 5th National People's Congress set March 12th as Arbor Day every year.
冬雪已融，春入乾坤春喜人；晧空放晴，树迎新生树初栽。伴着春风，我们迎来了今年的植树节。中国自古以来就有植树造林的优良习惯。中国的植树节于1915年设立，最初将时间确定在每年清明节。1928年，为纪念孙中山逝世三周年，植树节被改为3月12日。1979年，第五届全国人大将每年的3月12日定为植树节。
After the establishment of the People's Republic of China, we persisted in carrying out tree planting and achieved remarkable results. Loving, planting, and protecting greenery have not only become a practical action of the entire Party and all people in the country, but also had a positive and widespread impact on the world. We stick on national mobilization, nationwide participation, involvement from the whole society to make full use of the advantages of making efforts to complete major tasks, and carrying out large-scale land greening actions. We have made great achievements in growing forest resources continuously and reducing desert land areas, making important contributions to generating climate change and promoting global ecological governance.
新中国成立以后，我们锲而不舍地植树造林，取得了显著成绩。党的十八大提出“美丽中国”的概念，践行习总书记提出的“绿水青山就是金山银山”的理念，把生态文明建设放在突出地位。爱绿、植绿、护绿不仅成为全党全国各族人民的一致共识和自觉行动，而且也在世界上产生了广泛积极的影响。我们坚持全国动员、全民动手、全社会共同参与，发挥集中力量干大事的制度优势，深入开展大规模国土绿化行动，实现了森林资源连续增长，沙化荒漠化土地面积连续减少的目标，为应对气候变化、推动全球生态治理作出了重要贡献。
Our great efforts lay a home for the growth of new greenery, and let the budding life quietly take root. I remembered in March every year, our school's brigade committee jointly participated in the tree planting activity. Our school greatly promoted the importance of environmental protection to students, deeply planting the concept of green environmental protection into the hearts of the students.
一铲铲黄土，压实根基，为新绿的滋长铺设家园；一桶桶清水，浇灌洗涤，让萌动的生命悄然生根。依稀记得，每年3月，我校大队委都会在校总务处的组织下参与校园植树活动。我校还向学生们宣传了环保的重要性，将绿色环保的理念深深植入了学子们的心中。
Not only Arbor Day, but also contributing to a better environment is always feasible. We can grow green plants to turn our homes into a happy and beautiful green home; We can also start with small things around us, like saving one degree of electricity, one drop of water, one piece of paper, one single grain of rice, to create an environmentally friendly campus. In addition, ecological construction in the new era should focus on the upgrading and transformation of industries. On the path of development in China, it is not only about energy conservation and emission reduction, but also about improving production efficiency and carrying out industrial transformation.
不仅是在植树节，我们为美好环境贡献力量也要时时可行，处处可行。我们可以积极栽种绿植，让自己的国家变成一个幸福美好的绿色家园，也应从身边小事做起，节约一度电、一滴水、一张纸、一粒粮，努力创建环保型校园。除此之外，新时代生态建设应该注重产业的改造和升级，在我国发展的路途上，不只要节能减排，更要提高生产效率，进行产业转型。
Each generation has its own mission. Each of us should take on our own responsibility, be an active student of the saying "green mountains and clear waters are as valuable as gold and silver", respect nature, follow nature, and protect nature. We should follow the trend of modernization, fully understand the importance of scientific promotion of ecological construction, study hard, work with care, and strive to devote our knowledge and wisdom to the construction of harmonious relationship between humans and nature to turn the vision of a beautiful China into reality.
